Lizzy began her hotel experience in Queensland, Australia. Since then she has worked for the Holiday Inn Royal Victoria Hotel in Sheffield (from where she hails!) and Selfridges Manchester. She has also worked in HR and operational roles at Malmaison Manchester.

Lizzy became general manager of Malmaison Newcastle in March 2006. As a woman whose passions are travel, good wine and shoe shopping, she’s picked the right city!

“The best thing about living in Newcastle is that it’s such a vibrant place with a really huge personality,” she says. “The locals have a great sense of humour and they make everyone feel very welcome.”
